	Ranking Polls:
	What is a ranking poll?
	It's a poll which allows you to rank your answers in order of preference. For example, if your favorite song on The Beatle's album Revolver is "Eleanor Rigby", then you would rank that song as "1". Then you can rank all of the other songs on that album in order of preference.

	How are your ranking polls calculated?
	We use a formula to determine ranking order. Each ranking item (album or song) is given an average score based on its voting results. The ranking items are then sorted into order and assigned a rank, with "1" being the highest rank.

	Which artists and albums are included in the polls?
	Artists: must be professional, record contract recording artists. We include any artist that has made at least one album which was released to the general public. Any musical artist is accepted under the 'modern music' genre. Albums: must have been released by a record company and is a studio recorded album.

	Which artists and albums are not included in the polls?
	Artists not included: unsigned artists, hobby bands, cover artists, and so on. Artists must have professional record contract album releases. Artists outside of the 'modern music' genre are also not included (e.g. classical music, opera, etc.). Albums not included: unreleased albums, home-made albums, albums not released by a professional record company. Also, 'Greatest Hit's' or 'Best of' albums are not included. Live recordings of albums are also not included.

	How can I find a poll?
	Use the search features at the top of the page. Either type a search word into the search box (artist name, album or song title) or use the alphabetical search feature to locate the artist.

	An artist or album I am looking for doesn't exist - why not?
	Because no one has added it yet. This site is expanding everyday and will list your favorite artists at some point. We would love it if you sign up as a moderator and add your artist's polls.

	How often can I vote on a poll?
	You can vote on any poll once a month. We keep track of your IP address block multiple voting on polls.

	When are polls reset?
	Artist album ranking polls are automatically reset to zero each time a new album is added to the artist's album list. We also reset polls manually when we feel it is time to restart the poll. If you would like to request a poll to be reset please contact us.

	Can I create my own polls?
	Yes, you can! We actively encourage our users to add polls as there are so many artists and albums out there we need all the help we can get! To create a poll you first need to sign up as a moderator.

	There is a mistake on one of the polls - how can I change this?
	Please let us know by filling out our mistake report form. On the poll page you will see a link to report mistakes - please click the link and then fill out the form. We will correct the mistakes for you as quickly as we can.

	There is an album missing from an artist's poll - how can I add it?
	Please sign up as a moderator. As a moderator you can add albums to artists' polls and also set up new artists' polls.

	By signing up to be a moderator. As a moderator you can add albums to artists' polls and also set up new artists' polls.

	How can I become a moderator?
	Just complete our moderator registration form. We'll then contact you with all the information you need to start creating polls.

	What can I do as a moderator?
	You can create ranking polls for artists' albums and albums' songs. Also, you can add YouTube videos to your poll page or other poll pages. You can also post messages on the message comment boards under each poll.

	Which artists and albums can moderators create polls for?
	Artists: must be professional, record contract recording artists. You can include any artist that has made at least one album which was released to the general public. Albums: must have been released by a record company and is a studio recorded album.

	How do moderators add album artwork to the polls?
	You can add the album artwork of the album you created a poll for by uploading the album image when you are creating the poll. Each moderator has access to an album poll generator. One of the features is to add an album image. To do this, first make sure you have the image on your computer's hard drive. You can find and download it from the internet. Then using the album poll generator upload the image to our site. The album image will then automatically be added to your poll. If you don't upload an album image the following default image will be used: click here.

	I've just created a poll - how can I promote it and get loads of people to vote?
	Good question! The more people who vote on your polls the more interesting the results will be. Firstly, contact all your friends and send them the address of the poll page and invite them to vote and leave comments. Then, go to the artist's fans websites. Many have discussion boards where you can post a message inviting everyone to vote on your poll. Good luck!

	How can I post a comment on a discussion board?
	At the top of each discussion board is a link titled "Post a comment". Click on it. If you haven't logged in you will be asked to log in. If you don't have a login name and password please click on the registration link.

	How can I edit or delete my posts?
	Log in first. Then click on the link next to your post to edit or delete.

	How can I notify Rank Apple of abuse of the message boards?
	If you see spam, bad language, or any comments that may cause offense please let us know. You can do so by clicking on the "Report abuse or spam" link next to the offending post. We will delete the post and ban the poster as soon as we can.


	Membership at Rank Apple:

	Membership allows you to post messages on the comment message boards under each ranking poll. It also means we can notify you by email of any major changes to the site or points of interest. We will not use your address for spamming activities or pass on your address to anyone.
